Description
Half pitch with a goal and a goalkeeper. Six blues attack five reds defending in a zone: a back four and one midfielder in front. The blue team starts with quick circulation to unbalance them: with each control they look to pin down an opponent, and when there is space, the player on the ball dribbles to pin down a full-back. From there they have three finishing options: shot, cross or cutback. The defenders decide when to engage the attacker, guide play and clear crosses.
Step by step
- 1
A2 passes to A1, who circulates to the centre.
- 2
A1 switches play to A3.
- 3
A3 opens to A5, on the right wing.
- 4
A5 dribbles to pin the full-back while A6 and A4 attack the box.
- 5
A5 crosses to the second attacker.
- 6
A6 shoots at goal.
Rules
Unlimited touches, but play quickly. Goal after a finish: one point. A directed clearance to the touchline or a won ball followed by a pass to a teammate: one point for the defenders.
