Goal

Coordinate jumping with running, receive on the move, shoot calmly and keep focus after the effort.

Description

A 20 m by 14 m area with three hoops in a row on the left, a 2 m mini goal at the top centre and a line of four cones 3 m apart on the right. The children wait in a line next to the first hoop and the coach stands in the middle with several balls. The first child jumps with both feet into each hoop, runs toward the centre and receives a ground pass from the coach. The child shoots at the mini goal and, without picking up the ball, makes side steps past the four cones, touching them with a hand. Then the child goes back to the end of the line and the next one starts.

Step by step

  1. 1

A1 jumps with both feet into the three hoops, one after another.

  2. 2

A1 runs toward the centre and C passes along the ground so A1 can receive.

  3. 3

A1 shoots at the mini goal at the top.

  4. 4

A1 goes to the line of cones on the right.

  5. 5

A1 makes side steps touching each cone with a hand.

  6. 6

A1 jogs back to the line and the next child starts.

Rules

Jump with both feet inside each hoop without stepping on the edge. Shoot with whichever foot the child prefers, from where the ball is received. Side steps are done without crossing the feet. The next child starts when the previous one is already at the cones.

How to correct: Practise the jumps first without a ball, walking and with the feet together.

How to correct: Stop the ball with the foot, look at the goal and then shoot.
