How it works
- Who starts
- The crosser C, with the ball, on the wing.
- Who takes part
- The crosser (C), two finishers (1 and 2), the goalkeeper and R, who collects balls by the wing and is the next crosser.
- What the ball does
- C dribbles down the wing to the cone and plays a low cross to the near or far post.
- How to score
- Each goal 1 point; if it is first-time, 1 extra point.
- When it ends
- With the shot or if the cross goes out.
- How it restarts
- The group rotates and the new crosser starts with another ball.
- How players rotate
- Crosser to near post, near post to far post, far post to goalkeeper, goalkeeper to collecting balls and the ball collector to crosser.

Cover both posts on every cross and have the crosser pick the free finisher.
Description
Three stations of 15x12 m with a goal and a goalkeeper. In front of the goal there are two coloured cones: one at the near post and one at the far post. The crosser dribbles down the wing to a cone and plays a low cross. At the same time, two finishers start from the 12 m line and cross over: the one who was far away attacks the near post and the one who was close attacks the far post. The crosser chooses who to pass to. It is the run of the striker and the opposite winger when the ball goes down the wing.

Rotation and restart
After each action everyone changes position: the crosser goes to the near post, the near-post player to the far post, the far-post player to goalkeeper, the goalkeeper to collecting balls and the ball collector becomes the crosser.
Coaching points
- One to the near post and one to the far post, never both to the same place.
- The near-post player arrives quickly and finishes hard; the far-post player arrives a little later and taps in.
- The crosser lifts their head before crossing.
Common mistakes
Both finishers go to the same post.
How to correct: Decide before starting: the one who is far goes to the near post, the one who is close goes to the far post.
The far-post player arrives too early and the ball passes behind them.
How to correct: Arrive at the far post when the ball has already gone past the near one.
The crosser crosses without looking.
How to correct: Look at the finishers while dribbling and pass to the one who is free.
Questions for the players
- “Am I going to the near post or the far post?”
- “What happens to the ball if the near-post player does not get there?”
- “Where does the crosser look before passing?”
