How it works
- Who starts
- A and B, the first in each line, with a ball, when the coach says so.
- Who takes part
- Two lines, the blue one and the red one, each with its own course.
- What the ball does
- A and B dribble in slalom, pass the ball under the hurdle, take on two cones and shoot at the big cone.
- How to score
- One point each time the big cone is hit; the line that finishes first or the one with most points wins.
- When it ends
- Each relay, when the next player's hand is slapped; the round, when everyone has gone.
- How it restarts
- The next player in line sets off with a new ball.
- How players rotate
- The player who arrives goes to the back of their line.

Goal
Improve dribbling, take-ons and striking combined with motor actions, doing it well first and fast afterwards.
Description
Two lines side by side, each with an identical course. On the signal the first player in each line sets off with a ball: slalom through four cones, pass the ball under a hurdle and jump over it without the ball, take on two cones, shoot to hit a big cone, leave the ball, go round the pole at the end and sprint back on the outside to tag the next player's hand. The line that finishes first wins, but each technical fault (cone knocked over or hurdle touched) adds a second. With more equipment, set up more lines: less waiting and more actions per child.
Step by step
- 1
A and B dribble in slalom between the four cones.
- 1.1 A.
- 1.2 B.
- 2
They pass the ball under the hurdle and jump over it.
- 2.1 A.
- 2.2 B.
- 3
They pick up the ball and take on the two yellow cones.
- 3.1 A.
- 3.2 B.
- 4
They shoot to hit the big cone.
- 4.1 A.
- 4.2 B.
- 5
They go round the pole and sprint back on the outside to tag the next player.
- 5.1 A.
- 5.2 B.
Rules
You set off when your team-mate slaps your hand. The ball goes under the hurdle and the player over it. Slalom cone knocked over or hurdle touched: repeat that action. Hitting the big cone is worth one point for the line. The line that finishes first or the one with most points wins, as the coach decides.
Equipment
- 8 small cones
- 4 cones for the take-ons
- 2 low hurdles
- 2 big cones
- 2 poles
- One ball per player

Rotation and restart
The player who arrives goes to the back of their line; the next one sets off on the hand slap. After each round, the first in the line goes to collect and reset the balls.
Coaching points
- Keep the ball close to your foot in the slalom: short touches.
- Lift your head before shooting to see the cone.
- Well first, fast afterwards.
- Slap your team-mate's hand, do not set off early.
Common mistakes
Dribbling with long touches and knocking the cones over.
How to correct: Short touches with the outside and inside of the foot, the ball always within a step.
Jumping the hurdle with the ball and losing it.
How to correct: Ball under first, then the jump, and pick up the ball before carrying on.
Shooting without looking and too hard.
How to correct: Look at the cone, plant foot next to the ball and strike with the inside of the foot.
Questions for the players
- “Which part of your foot do you use to turn around the cones?”
- “What helps you hit the cone?”
Levels
- A · easyNo hurdle and no shot: slalom, take-on the cones and back.
- B · standardThe full course, as described.
- C · advancedSlalom with the weaker foot only and shoot with the weaker foot.
If you have fewer or more players
- With 5 fewer: A single line against the clock. (One line against the clock)
- With more: Three or four lines, each with its own course. (Four parallel lines)
- With odd numbers: In the line with one fewer, the first player goes twice.
Age
Variations
- Choose the course. The coach changes the order of the stations or adds a hoop to hop through on one leg.
- In pairs. Two players set off from each line and pass the ball between stations.
